On October 30, TV-3 will launch its new show Taboo. This is a unique project on Russian TV, which gives people an opportunity to speak honestly about things that can happen to anyone, but which, for one reason or another, tend to be hushed down.
The guests of the program will be people who have personally come face to face with one of the topics that are typically never discussed in public. All the same, these people have decided to share their extreme experiences in order to try and break the stereotypes and change society’s opinions. Each episode will feature two antipode heroes who have faced the same problem from different angles. The program’s guests are guaranteed complete anonymity. The viewers will not see their faces unless the guests themselves want to reveal their identity at the end of the episode.
Journalist Rodion Chepel and psychologist Anna Karpova are the authors and hosts of the program.
