​Film Kholop to be shown in China

The highest-grossing domestic film in the history of Russian film distribution, the comedy Kholop (The Peasant), was officially sold to Chinese distributors. The picture will be shown on one of the major video sharing services in the People’s Republic of China - the online cinema IQIYI. The release date is still to be confirmed.

​Comedy Politseysky s Rublyovki. Novogodniy Bespredel 2 box office leader on first weekend in Russian cinemas

The film Politseysky s Rublyovki. Novogodniy Bespredel 2 (Policeman from Rublyovka. New Year's Mayhem 2) became the highest-grossing film in cinemas across Russia and the CIS on the December 12-15 weekend. The comedy has collected 372 million rubles in cinemas, according to the Kinobusiness portal. Novogodniy Bespredel 2 overtook Jake Kasdan’s adventure comedy Jumanji. The Next Level (366.7 million rubles), which featured Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and other Hollywood stars.

​NTV presents its projects on Asia’s TV market

The Asia Television Forum and Market (ATF) took place in Singapore from 3-6 December. The market, considered to be one of the industry’s biggest events in the region, brings together content sellers from around the world and buyers from Asia, which represent the largest local film companies, TV channels and digital platforms. This year, more than 5,700 participants from 58 countries visited ATF.
